Last thursday I had the opportunity to see one of the hottest new bands in metal music at Sonar. This is noneother than Revocation a metal band that mixes thrash, death, techinical, and progressive metal into their sound.
Their set was amazing. The chemistry between the band members was amazing. There were times when the lead singer/guitarist, David Davidson and the other guitarist, Dan Gargiulo would interact with each other during guitar solos and instrumental parts. Davidson's charisma on stage could not be overlooked for being one with the music. The band played together in unison like a coherent unit. The facial expressions of Davidson added a lot of intensity to the show. Davidson's solos were amazing on the recordings, but blew me away in concert. The guitar tones were amazing also.
If you haven't checked out this band, you should check them out now. They are one of the great modern metal bands.
